Srinagar 18 jan (KNB): Deputy Superintendent Police (DSP) Furqan posted at Police station Bemina has launched strong initiatives to crack whip on the menace of polythene by seizing huge cache of polythene from shopkeepers.
This effort comes in the backdrop of the recent court orders pronouncing strict ban on use and sale of polythene in Kashmir.
Masses and sane shopkeepers praised the efforts of DSP Furqan in getting the monster of polythene eliminated from the commercially sensitive area like Bemina.
A resident stated -“This is a very good initiative by Dysp Furqan to get eliminated the monster of polythene from the serene Kashmir. It is really wonderful, as this monster has eaten over the environment.” (KNB)
