24 new Covid19 cases in J&K, tally jumps to 184

Srinagar 09 April (KNB): with the detection of new 24 positive cases in Kashmir division for Coronavirus, taking the total number of such cases to 184 in Jammu and Kashmir.

According to Kashmir News Bureau (KNB), J&K government spokesperson Rohit Kansal said 24 more cases test positive in Kashmir Division. 

 24 more positive in Kashmir. Total 184. 32 in Jammu, 152 in Kashmir. All are contacts. A result of aggressive testing,” Kansal tweeted

While 11 positive cases are from the deceased family of Gund Jehangir Village of Bandipora district who died in SMHS on Monday and 8 are from Tangmarg, the same village where a positive case was detected a few days ago. 

The total number of posases in Jammu and Kashmir has risen to 184, out of which 152 are in Kashmir and 32 in Jammu. 

Earlier, in a press conference, Dc Srinagar Shahid Chowdary said “ Many cases are detected in Srinagar and are an alarming scenario. 

At present there are 14  red zone areas in Srinagar so far which includes Chattabal, LalBazar, Eidgah and Goripora. 

According to SKIMS Soura data issued to Kashmir News Bureau (KNB),  340 suspected patients have been tested so far, while 30 positive patients are under treatment and three positive cases have been treated successfully.

More than 37,000 people have been kept under surveillance, including 9,200 who are either in government established quarantine facilities or home isolation, officials said.(KNB)
