Adventure Sports and Bollywood In Kashmir

Srinagar, December 01(KNB): Kashmir, paradise on earth, known as hub of adventure sports offers a host of popular diverse activities like mountaineering, trekking and skiing for youth seeking adventure, thrill and enjoyment. Blessed with beautiful rivers and lakes like Indus, Sutlej and Kali the valley of Kashmir is the best place for enjoying river rafting between August and September.




Hilly regions of Jammu and Kashmir offers amazing opportunities for trekking for tourists as well as youths where they are provided with trekking equipment’s and camping facilities. Some of the most alluring trekking routes are Amarnath trekking trial, Gulmarg trekking trial, Ferozepur Nala to Danwas, Tejjan, Sonamarg and Tosamaidan where these trekking routes not only offer excitement to the visitors but also sheer scenic beauty.
The department of tourism in Kashmir is also organizing various adventurous sports like Mountain Biking, Kayaking, Canoeing and Rowing at Dal Lake as part of its ‘Valley Weekend’ events.
While talking to KNB,Rouf tramboo , a Adventure sports trainer said “Youth are best secured when they are enabled with best sports opportunities, sports enhance the physical as well as mental development.”
“Participation in sporting activities is a building block in bringing in habits of discipline, rectitude, perseverance, commitment and most importantly developing an ability to work in teams.” He said

Commenting on participation of youth in adventure sports Rouf said, “Youth should participate in every adventure sports, our valley is surrounded by beautiful hills which are perfect for mountaining, likewise various rivers, plains are best for rafting and royal golf game.




On the other hand, in addition to participation in adventure sports youth are also coming forward in Bollywood, Zaira Waseem the young actress from Kashmir who is now the known face of Bollywood is the best example.
Recently a film festival was also held at Tagore hall in which many young who were interested in film making and other activities related to entertainment took part in Kashmir World film Festival.

Known for his peppy and fast-paced rap songs, popular Bollywood rapper Badshah who was recently visited Kashmir urged that talented Kashmiri youth to take-up music as a career.

“There should be more cultural exchanges in the subcontinent and across the world and Youth have to be involved in this process, Kashmiri youth must also take to social media to express themselves and use platforms such as YouTube to showcase their talent,” he said.

Passion and interest in films has encouraged young Kashmiris to take part in entertainment, singing, dancing and acting as well Kashmiri youth are talented enough they just need opportunities to come forward and show their talent. (KNB)
