Bandipora Youths Clinch Gold, Silver Medals in Pencak Silat Championship in Maharashtra

Bandipora 10 Feb ( KNB):  Three youth of Bandipora have won gold and silver medals in Federation Cup of Pencak Silat held from 7th Feb to 10th February 2020 in Nahsik Maharashtra and qualified for World championship going to be in Singapore in April this year.

Sabahat Afreen resident of Nowpora Bandipora, Mohammad Faisal rather resident of Ajas Bandipora won gold medals and Aanisa Yousuf resident of Sumbal Bandipora won silver medal.

While Talking with Kashmir News bureau (KNB), Faisal Ali International Marial arts coach said, It is a proud moment for whole Kashmir especially for bandipora.

He further said that youth of the valley are shining and excelling in field of sports, and the mentality of the parents is changing as more and parents are coming to me for training their wards and they think sports can be opted as a career option.”

Pertinently, Faisal Ali has remarkable changed the orientation of the people of the Bandipora and during the last few years a number of players from karate sports has emerged from Bandipora and have become famous at national and international level.(KNB).”
