Srinagar, Feb 27 (KNB): Broadcast & Multimedia Journalist Association (BMJA) while strongly condemned the attack of Journalists in Sopore and demanded stern action against accused persons.
BMJA has learnt that yesterday a team of Journalists was attacked by some contractors inside the R&B Division Sopore while discharging their professional duty.
BMJA expresses sympathy and extends full support to thrashed media person Shahid Imran Editor Kashmir Crown newspaper, Video Journalist Ashik Mir and Zee Media scribe Tajamul Islam.
BMJA expressing dismay over the rising incidents of journalist’s manhandling in valley in a statement has demanded concern authorities of district administration to intervene into the incident of thrashing of media persons in the large interest of public and Freedom of press bestowed in democracy.
