Boulevard Road : Main connectivity to Mughal Garden in shambles

Srinagar, April 09(KNB): The depilated conditions of the famous Boulevard road from Nishat garden to Chesma- Shahi are creating the troublesomeness to the commuters especially the tourists.
The residents alleged that the road is in shambles and has got potholes and unsuitable for the driving and is badly effecting the tourist inflow, and blamed the governor administration for the lackadaisical approach towards the sufferings of the common people.
Talking to Kashmir News Bureau Mohd Abbas Akhoon a shikara wala at nishat ghat said “the state government is very lazy, being a most congested area of the tourist flow the roads should have been world class to ensure the safe and hassle free travel but the road is so damaged that it seems that one is travelling in a far-flung area”
“Our work is badly affected as the tourists usually try to run away due to dust and pollution in the air due to the depilated road.”
Boulevard road is the main connective road along the bank of the Dal Lake connecting the Mughal garden s, Pari Mahal , Tulip garden , Dachigam national park and other tourist destinations with the main Srinagar city and has huge rush of the tourists and locals

The tourists visiting the Mughal gardens also criticized the apathetic attitude of the state administration towards the development of the roads in Srinagar city and stressed on the need of the devolvement of the infrastructure in valley.
On contacting Chief Engineer R&B Sami Arif he said “the road will be repaired very soon and we have almost started the work to mend the road.”
He further added that we are going to macadamize the road this year (KNB).
