Canadian High Commission shows Indian map without Kashmir

New Delhi, Mar 02 (KNB): The state of Jammu and Kashmir has gone missing from the map of India displayed at the Canadian High Commission dinner reception during Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s visit in Delhi. Although, this wouldn’t be a first, there have been repeated map controversies over Kashmir between India and Pakistan.
According to the reports Kashmir News Bureau received here, a map of India displayed at the Canadian High Commission dinner reception during Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s visit in Delhi omitted Jammu and Kashmir.
Earlier a controversial map of India that excluded Arunachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir was aired on China’s state-owned television CCTV on Thursday while reporting on Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit, triggering angry reactions on social media platforms.
According to Kashmir News Bureau Monotoring desk, not only Canada and China, CEO of social networking giant Facebook, Mark Zuckerberg shared a post about internet.org that showed India’s map without Kashmir.
The post of Zuckerberg invited an unpleasant series of comments with many Indians demanding Zuckerberg to correct the post. Some users even indulged in a verbal abuse. (KNB)
