Srinagar 31 Jan 2018 (KNB): All Parties Hurriyat Conference (M) Chairman and senior pro-freedom leader Mirwaiz Umar Farooq Wednesday said that ‘our hearts bleed as every day we carry the coffins of our youth and added that there is hardly any village in Kashmir which hasn’t been turned red with innocent blood.’
Mirwaiz wrote on micro-blogging site wrote Twitter: “Third youth injured in Army firing in Shopian,Rayees Ahmed succumbed to injuries this morning! our hearts bleed! every day we carry the coffins of our youth on our shoulders & there is hardly any village or lane in #Kashmir which hasn’t been turned red with the blood of innocents!”
It is worth mentioning , Army opened fire on civilians in Ganowpora, Shopian on Saturday killing two youth on spot while third youth (Rayees) succumbed today, taking toll to three. According to reports, nine people were injured in the army firing.
The Joint Resistance Leadership (JRL) had called for a complete state-wide shutdown on Sunday to protests against the killings.
