J&K Records Three Pregnant women among 28 positive cases, taking toll to 1317

Srinagar, May 19(KNB): 28 more persons tested positive for novel Caronavirus, while one death of positive patients was also recorded taking the total tally of positive cases to 1317 and death toll to 17.

As per the reports reached to KNB, among the 28 positive cases 11 are from Anantnag, 07 from Kulgam , 02 each from Barmulla, Kathua Udhampur, 01 each from Ganderbal, Pulwama, Rajouri and Samba.

According to SKIMS Officials, out of 1437 samples tested at Microbiology Lab of SKIMS Soura Hospital, 09 came positive- 06 from Kulgam and 1 each from Pulwama, Anantnag and Rajouri district.

Similarly, Out of 1006 samples tested at Microbiology lab CD Hospital Srinagar, 12 came positive – 02 Pregnant ladies among 08 cases from Anantnag (01 each from Kokernag, Shiekhgund, Sanglar, Nowgam, Kuthar, Harteng, Wulzan and Dooru), 01 from Yaaripora Kulgam, 01 from Sopore Baramulla, 01 pregnant lady from Kangan Ganderbal and 01 from Hajabagh Baramulla.

17th death was also reported in Jammu and Kashmir – died today at SKIMS Soura.

On Monday, three deaths were also recorded in the Kashmir valley, a 75-year-old man resident of Kokernag Anantnag and another 65-year-old covid-19 patient from Kulgam died at CD hospital

Meanwhile, 38 covid19 patients have also recovered and discharged from various hospitals of Jammu and Kashmir, 02 from Jammu division and 36 from Kashmir division.

According to media bulletin, use of gloves in public spaces is not recommended or pervention against Covid19.

As of now, the number of Covid-19 patients has risen to 1317, with 653 active, 17 deaths and 647 recoveries so far.(KNB)
