LET MILITANT KILLED IN SOPORE ENCOUNTER, IDENTIFIED

Sopore, July, 17(KNB): LeT militant was killed in an encounter that broke out between security forces and militants in Gund Brath village of Sopore in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Wednesday.




As per the reports, the body of a militant was recovered along with one weapon from the encounter site.

The slain militant has been identified as Adnan Channa resident of old town Baramullah.

Searches at the encounter site are still underway, as per the last reports.

Earlier, authorities suspended mobile Internet services and closed educational institutions in Sopore in wake of the encounter.(KNB)
