Nine Army Soldiers injured in IED Blast in Pulwama Village

Pulwama 17 June (KNB): An army ALS was attacked by an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) on its way at Arihal village of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district.




An official confirmed that an IED exploded near the 44 Rashtriya Rifles’ vehicle in Arihal. Nine Army Soldiers were injured and has been shifted to 92 base hospital Srinagar for further treatment.

An Army officer said, A failed attempt was made to attack a mobile vehicle patrol of 44 RR with a Vehicle Based IED while the Army patrol was moving in the general area Arihal in district Pulwama today evening.
Troops all safe. Few minor injuries.

Meanwhile, an encounter broke out between security forces and Militants in Anantnag’s Chattabal district on Monday. At least two to three militants were trapped during the firing one Army Officer, two other Solidiers were Injured. (KNB)
