People beeline outside ATMs, banks; risk spread of Coronovirus in Kashmir

Srinagar, April 07(KNB): Amid lockdown due to pandemic COVID -19, a huge rush of people can be observed around j&k banks in various areas of the Kashmir valley which is quite risky and can increase the spread of the deadly virus.

Pertinently, after the outbreak of corona virus ,the government had announced nationwide Lockdown for 21 days to prevent the spread of Covid-19, but the people from the different regions of Kashmir valley can be regularly observed in the groups around various J&K banks, this can certainly not only increase the fear among the people regarding the spread of virus but can actually increase its outspread.
One of the resident from the valley said,” Not only in my area but also in various other regions of Kashmir, the people despite restrictions are coming out from their homes and gathering at various bankd creating panic among the other people and increasing the spread of virus”.
He further said,” The valley has become more vulnerable as far as further transmission of the virus is concerned and it becomes necessary to take precautionary measures and strictly follow the orders of government to prevent its spread”.
Another resident said, ” Almost the entire country is following a complete lockdown to prevent the spread of the deadly virus but unfortunately the people of Kashmir valley are still taking it lightly and can be observed in groups at various places which can be a threat to the entire valley.”
