Srinagar, Jul 30 (KNB): The residents of Srinagar city’s outskirt Alamdar colony C Lalbazar area alleged poor drainage system. The roads and by lanes of the area are filled with water.
The residents are complaining that the work on drainage system has stopped by the authorities with the results knowing to them.
Talking with KNB Fayaz Ahmad a local resident of the area said, the work on the drainage stopped by the authorities which creates problems for locals and pedestrians.”
While talking to an official on the issue Executive Engineer Imtiyaz Ah said, “we have done 90 to 95 percent of drainage work, but there are some disputes with some residents in the area and they don’t allow us to complete our work”.
We have send approval to government related to this dispute. We will complete drainage system once dispute is solved,” he added. (KNB)
