Residents of Habak-Malla Bagh appeals Governor for widening of road

Srinagar 30 April (KNB): Residents of Habak, Malla Bagh, and adjoining areas urges the state Government to take up widening of road from Habak to Buspora 90 feet road on war footing basis as its a very important road link and serves vast area.
Talking to Kashmir News Bureau the locals said many prestigious schools, including RP School and Green Land School are situated near this road which witnesses the frequent traffic jams as it is the main link road leading to SKIMS hospital Soura.
They further said, “Widening of the said road can help in decongesting the traffic on Soura and Hazratbal routes and appealed Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Deputy Commissioner Srinagar and Chief Engineer R&B Kashmir to intervene in the matter and take up widening of this road, at the earliest.”
Mohammed Ayub Dar a local resident said, “Despite knowing the importance of the road, the widening has not been taken up, as a result there are frequent traffic jams on this road,It has been our genuine demand since long time.”
“Traffic jams due to road inadequate and narrow road has became a daily headache and we are forced to remain stuck in a jam for hours, it is severely affecting normal life,” Another local said.
When Kashmir News Bureau Contacted Chief Engineer R&B Sami Arif, he said, “I am in meeting and denied to talk on this issue by saying will call you later.” (KNB)
