SMC Conducts santitation Drive ahead Mahashivratra festival

Srinagar, Feb 28: Srinagar Municipal Corporation in view of upcoming festival Mahashivratra conducted special sanitation drives in various temples including Shakar Acharya, Zeethyar, Ganpatiyar Habba Kadal,  SR Gunj, Batiyar etc

The drive was carried out under the supervision of chief  Sanitation Officer Mohhamad Akbar Sufi who along with various other senior officers of Corporation visited various temples in the city.

He has directed All the ward officers  to ensure upto mark sanitation in thier areas. All the temples falling within thier jurisdiction including lanes, by lanes and the connecting roads has to be kept clean with a regular sanitation drive said Mr Sufi.

The devotees thronging to these religious places should not face any inconvinience on the occasion  further directed  Chief Sanitation Officer.

Mr Sufi has further directed all the ward officers to utilise the services of sanitation staff properly in the field from wee hours and sanitation workers  be fully equipped with brooms, handcarts, lime etc to upkeep sanitation for the occassion.

The sanitation  officers has also been directed to be duty bound and constantly be available to monitor sanitation on ground.
