Three militants were killed in a gunfight on Tuesday in South Kashmir’s Tral area of Pulwama district.
According to officials, on a specific information about the presence of militants, Army along with Police and CRPF launched a search operation in Tral area which later results in an encounter.
The militants had killed two brothers who belonged to the Gujjar community in Kashmir in August, the senior police officer was quoted as saying by news agency PTI.
Arms and ammunition were recovered from the site of encounter and security forces are carrying out search operations in the area. More details are awaited.
