Shopian 27 July (KNB)Two militants on Saturday were killed in an gunfight with security forces in Bonbazaar Village of South Kashmir’s Shopian District.
According to a police official, security forces had launched a cordon and search operation in Bonbazaar area of Shopian in the district in south Kashmir after receiving intelligence input about presence of militants in the area.
As the forces were conducting searches in the area, the militants fired upon them. The security forces retaliated, he said.
“Two militants have been killed in Shopian operation,” the official said,
The slain has been identified as Zeenatul Islam of Turkawangam Shopian and a Non Local identified as Muna both both belong to JeM.(KNB)
