Volleyball Premier league organised by Army in Rafiabad concludes

Baramulla 29 August (KNB):The month long Rafiabad Volleyball Premier League Organized by Rafiabad Civil Society and Rafiabad Army under the aegies of Kilo Force concluded on Wednesday morning at Chatussa, Rafiabad. The tournament was conducted from 01 Aug 18 to 29 Aug 18 and received an overwhelming response of over 32 teams from Rafiabad and near by regions. The zeal and sportsmanship displayed by all the teams was testimony of rich sporting culture and high standard of skills of youth of kashmir.




In a colourful event, the final match was played between the Panzla(Rafiabad) and Khamoh(Rafiabad) teams. Both the teams showcased their immense talent.The teams from Khahmoh emerged victorious. The Winner and Runnersup team of Panzlla Rafiabad were duly felicitated with a cash prize of RS 20000/- and 10000/- respectively where as Third and Fourth teams were awarded cash of Rs 5000/- each by Col SP Singh, CO 32RR.

The event was attended by Govt Officials, Village heads and large number of youths and locals from Rafiabad region. Speaking on the occasion, Col SP Singh, CO 32RR ,conveyed his appreciation to the Organising Committee and people of Rafiabad for successful conduct of the tournament. He exhorded the youth to nurture their skills further by constructively engaging themselves in sports and cultural activities.




Attendees interacted with each other over at the end of the closing ceremony. The civil Society also expressed their gratitude to Army for their genuine concern towards the aspirations of youth and locals.(KNB)
